Amendments:

 

Article IX: This constitution may be amended by a two-thirds vote of the members present and voting at any business meeting of the Church, or at a meeting stating the article and section to be amended, and said proposal shall lay on the table for thirty days. It shall be understood that Article Two(2), Three(3), and Four(4), entitled “Article of Faith”, “Covenant”, and “Character”, shall not be subject to change.

 

Current:

 

Section 2: Business: The Church shall hold regular monthly meetings on the second Wednesday night of each month. They may act on the dismissal or reception of members at any regular service for worship in addition to the regular business meeting. 

 

The Pastor may, and shall, upon request by the Deacons or Trustees or a standing committee call special business meetings from the pulpit, the object of the meeting being clearly stated in the notice.

 

Proposed:

 

Section 2: Business: The Church shall hold regular quarterly business meetings on the second Sunday after the end of each quarter. The Pastor and Deacons may approve rescheduling of these business meetings if: 1. Extenuating circumstances may prohibit church member participation or 2. Advance notice of the date change is provided to church members at least two (2) weeks prior to the meeting date. 

 

The dismissal or reception of members may be acted upon at any regular service for worship in addition to the regular business meetings.
